The first 8aa of the original 92aa predicted by the GLEAN model (SPU_002633.1) against the Spur0.5 genome does not seem to be present in Spur3.1 - this resulted in truncation of the model such that the homeodomain was not intact. An 8aa encoding exon used in the NCBI model XM_778259.1 (GNOMON prediction) was added to the 5prime end of the model to restore the predicted homeodomain. The overlapping WHL model does not predict a homeodomain containing peptide.
